The first time I thought about starting a blog was in 2012, when I first attempted to move back home to Ghana. I thought it would be fun and interesting to document my experiences as a returnee but somehow, I never did get around to doing it. And since it’s something I’ve been wanting to do for a while now, I figured why not now…but anyway I digress…I was going to start with an introduction:
My name is Michelle aka Seyram aka Rammie aka Michy. I grew up in Ghana for the most part (I did a short stint, during my toddler years in Libya but that’s a story for another day). I moved to Portland, OR in 2006 to get my Bachelor’s degree in Biology at Reed College. After graduating, I worked for 2 years and then I moved back home. A year later, I moved back to the US, this time to Providence RI to get my Master’s degree in Public Health (something I had wanted to do for years – yet another story).
Personality profile: Outgoing introvert
Interests: reading, watching TV shows and movies, hanging out with friends, hosting get togethers, traveling (although that would be way more fun if I could do it more often and in first/business class), making clothing using Ghanaian textile prints, trying out different hairstyles

So, this blog will be about my life and adventures – it’ll be a good way for my friends to keep tabs on what I’m up to. Hope you enjoy reading it. Not quite sure how frequently I’ll be posting yet. I’m aiming for at least 1 per week.
